ミラノ時代に「本物の畳の良さを、その使い方と合わせて海外に伝えたい」と思ったことから開発した家具シリーズ。同じマテリアルで作られた面に足を乗せ、座り、背中をつけ、物を置く、という文化を西洋の家具のフォーマットに落とし込んだものです。鮮やかに染色された花茣蓙とメタルフレームを組み合わせたデザインは、ミラノサローネで注目を浴び、日本ではグッドデザイン賞に輝きました。
A series of furniture developed to introduce the merit of authentic Japanese tatami overseas, along with its usage. You can put your feet on, sit on, put your back on, and place things on the surface made of the same material. The design combining vividly dyed tatami mat and metal frame gained attention at Milano Salone. Winner of Good Design Award.
